Sunday worship in East Gore
Grace Presbyterian Church of New Zealand (GPCNZ)
Grace Church Gore is open to all people who want to learn more about God, know God, and be part of God's people. We are a family church seeking to be a shining light in the Gore district through outreach, care for our community, and the message of Jesus.
Sunday worship meets at 10:00 a.m. in summer and 10:30 a.m. in winter.
If you don't go to church anywhere but are interested to see what its all about, you are very welcome to come along on a Sunday anytime. You won't be asked to do anything odd, but are welcome to come and see what we are about.
We believe that the message of the Bible is summed up well by Jesus' words in John chapter 3, that, "God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life." It's our desire to preach Jesus' message that many more may come to find their sins forgiven and to have peace with God forever.
We are part of the Grace Presbyterian Church of NZ, which helps keep us accountable and supported, and we love to be part of this wider body of God's people spread around NZ.
Sunday morning worship is for everyone with singing, praying and preaching. We also have Kids Church for primary school aged children during the sermon. Meeting 10.00 a.m. in the summer months and 10.30 a.m. in the winter months.
Starting at 5:30pm, the first Sunday night of every month. This is a less formal service that is often focused around prayer, learning new songs, and having a more interactive teaching time.
Mixed adults group meets on Thursday evenings 7:30pm, women's group meets on Wednesdays at 10:00 a.m. & the men's group meets Wednesdays 11:00 a.m. Also a prayer meeting for the persecuted church is held every 2nd Monday 7pm.
Most holidays we run a kids holiday program. The program includes games, crafts, singing, Bible stories, and food. Open to children aged 5–12 years. Get in touch to find out what's coming up.
Youth-group meets every alternate Friday night. All youth aged 11-17yrs are welcome to join us for fun activities, games, Bible teaching and more!
At Grace Gore we have a real heart for sharing the good news of Jesus Christ (the gospel) both near and far, so missions are always at the heart of what we are about as a church.

Sam Duthie, Pastor
Our pastor at Grace Gore is Sam Duthie who serves alongside a team of elders. Born and raised on a sheep farm south of Dunedin, Sam loves ministering in rural New Zealand. Sam is married to Karyn and they have three children.
Sam's great love is taking the tricky bits of the Bible and making them accessible to all through straightforward expository preaching that points us to Jesus Christ. He trained at Grace Theological College in Auckland, where he obtained the three-year Pastoral Ministry Certificate. Before going into full-time ministry, Sam worked mainly in the construction and dairy farming industries.
